Peter Carney ’06 and Karen Lyons Carney ’09, M.A. ’11, were married on September 21, 2013, at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in East Northport, New York. The celebration continued with a reception at Great South Bay Brewery in Bay Shore. The couple currently reside in East Islip.

Paige Napoli Carbone ’02, SJC’s director of alumni relations, was selected by the Fair Media Council to participate in a leadership panel at the 2014 Women’s Empowerment Summit on May 16.

Abigail Konicke ’07 and Garrett Kaske ’07

class notes konicke kaske spring 2014Abigail Konicke ’07 and Garrett Kaske ’07 were married on September 7 in a ceremony in Great River. Now residents of Queens, Abby and Garrett met during the study  abroad program in Alicante, Spain, and continued to work with the St. Joseph’s Project in Nicaragua for three years. Abby recently earned a master’s degree from the Lois V. and Samuel J. Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Garrett is a graduate of the City University of New York School of  Law, and the nephew of Candido Gonzalez, a senior lecturer in the Long Island Campus’ Department of Modern Languages. They are pictured with fellow SJC graduates Michael Karbowiak ’07, Ellen Clyne ’07 and Anthony Dohrenwend ’07, and Candido Gonzalez.
